Student Employment
Student Officers
Description: to conduct physical security check of all facilities and enforce campus policies. Provide protection of university properties, buildings, and equipment. Enforce university policies, crime prevention and safety awareness. Provide protection of students, faculty and staff with emphasis on safety and welfare.
Qualifications: Able to work late night/early morning hours, weekends and/or holidays.
Student Dispatchers
Description: provides dispatching services to security personnel. In addition, also provides after hours services for the Physical Plant, Housing, Health Center, Counseling Services, Computer Support and Campus Operators. Receives and transmits information and requests by radio to officers on duty. Receives all telephone calls and/or walk-in requests for security assistance and after hours referrals. Keeps a detailed shift report of all activity and transmissions during a designated work shift and insures every call for service is referred to and completed by security or department on-call personnel. Monitors and sends officers for campus fire and intrusion alarm systems.
Qualifications: proficient in computer applications such as word perfect and Microsoft word. Able to work late night/early morning hours, weekends and/or holidays.
